What is HMO and what are their benefits?
HMOs are a type of oligosaccharides produced by the mammary glands and found naturally only in breast milk.
They are considered the third most abundant solid component after lactose and fat.
There are more than 200 types of HMOs.
The most abundant in breast milk is a type called 2'FL, which represents %30 of the total amount of HMOs.
Generally, HMOs, and in particular 2'FL, has many benefits, such as:
* Strengthening the immunity and protecting against infection.
* Healthy formation and growth of good bacteria in babies' digestive systems.
* Healthy development of babies' digestive systems.
